We are seeking an experienced, strategic healthcare leader to serve as Vice President of Surgical Services, overseeing operations across two premier healthcare facilities in Austin, Texas. This executive position combines clinical expertise with business acumen to drive surgical services growth, optimize operational efficiency, and maintain excellence in patient care delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Growth
  • Develop and execute comprehensive surgical services growth strategies
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
  • Lead implementation of strategic initiatives across multiple facilities
  • Foster strong relationships with medical staff and key stakeholders

 

• Operational Excellence
  • Direct all surgical service lines including OR, Pre/Post-Op, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing
  • Optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency
  • Drive process improvement initiatives
  • Manage departmental budgets and financial performance
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards

 

• Team Leadership
  • Provide executive oversight of all surgical services personnel
  • Build and maintain high-performing teams
  • Promote a culture of accountability and clinical excellence
  • Foster effective cross-departmental collaboration

 

Required Qualifications

• Education & Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Current RN or CST license in Texas
  • CNOR and/or CSSM certification preferred

 

• Experience
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience in surgical services
  • Proven track record managing large-scale acute care facilities
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution
  • Experience with multi-facility oversight
