Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in prescription preparation, verification, and dispensing
• Manage inventory control and medication orders
• Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as required
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current registration with Virginia Department of Health Professionals
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required within 9 months of hire
• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience
• Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
• Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience
• Experience with sterile compounding
• Knowledge of USP 797/800 guidelines
