Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician
We're seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician II to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you'll work alongside licensed Pharmacists to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care and customer service while ensuring accurate medication dispensing and inventory management.
Core Responsibilities
- Process and fulfill prescription orders with precision and accuracy
- Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing
- Manage inventory control and ordering systems
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff
- Handle customer service inquiries and insurance claims
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Perform administrative duties and documentation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals
- Ability to obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months of hire
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medications
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and general office technology
- Superior customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
- 1+ years of pharmacy experience
- Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Hospital or clinical pharmacy experience
