Pulmonary Function Technologist (PFT) - Respiratory Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic pulmonary procedures using advanced equipment and both invasive and non-invasive techniques
• Execute precise testing protocols and maintain detailed patient records in electronic medical systems
• Manage the PFT laboratory, including equipment calibration, quality control, and inventory management
• Mentor and train medical residents, respiratory care students, and staff members
• Oversee testing activities and ensure accurate reporting of diagnostic results
• Coordinate and staff community health fairs and outreach events
• Provide respiratory therapy services as needed, according to licensure requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program
• Current respiratory therapy license
• CPFT certification required within first year of employment
• Current AHA BLS-HCP certification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of clinical respiratory care experience
• Experience with pulmonary function testing
• AHA ACLS certification
• Experience with electronic medical records systems
