Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Care

Position Overview

As an Oncology RN, you'll be part of a dedicated team providing comprehensive care to patients throughout their cancer journey. Working 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week), you'll combine clinical expertise with empathetic care to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized oncology nursing care through comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and implementation
  • Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments, managing side effects and patient response
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and home care
  • Document patient care using electronic health records (EHR)
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice implementation
  • Serve as a patient advocate and resource for the healthcare team

Required Qualifications

  • Active Washington State RN license
  • BSN from an accredited nursing program
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg Oncology nursing experience
  • NRP certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
