Senior Facilities Electrical Systems Specialist
We're seeking an experienced, licensed electrician to join our facilities maintenance team as a Senior Electrical Systems Specialist. In this role, you'll maintain and optimize critical electrical infrastructure, lead specialty projects, and ensure reliable power systems operation across our facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced electrical systems while taking a leadership role in maintaining and improving our facility's electrical infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead installation, maintenance, and emergency repair of complex electrical systems (120V-12,470V)
- Conduct power quality analysis and preventive maintenance on critical electrical infrastructure
- Evaluate and maintain isolated power/ground systems and ensure code compliance
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
- Develop and implement electrical system control protocols for optimal utility usage
- Provide technical leadership and training to maintenance team members
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, installations, and system modifications
- Research and recommend new technologies and equipment improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman's or Master Electrician License
- Minimum 3 years of licensed electrician experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of state electrical codes for healthcare and commercial facilities
- Proven expertise with isolated power systems, harmonics, and power quality analysis
- Proficiency in reading/interpreting electrical blueprints and technical documentation
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade/vocational school graduate with specialized electrical maintenance training
- Healthcare facility maintenance experience
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with building automation systems
