Facilities Engineering Manager - Healthcare Environment
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee our healthcare facility's operations, safety protocols, and environmental compliance. This key leadership role combines technical expertise with strategic planning to ensure optimal facility performance and regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Direct plant operations and engineering activities, including preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
- Serve as primary Safety Officer and Environment of Care (EOC) coordinator
- Manage facility compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
- Oversee construction, renovation, and equipment relocation projects
- Coordinate physical plant maintenance and utility management
- Lead emergency preparedness initiatives and safety programs
- Supervise engineering staff and contractors
- Manage satellite facilities and property development
- Participate in quality improvement programs
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare engineering experience
- 3-5 years of general facilities management experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA)
- Excellent project management and communication skills
