Emergency Department Nurse Manager - Level I Trauma Center

Position Overview
As the ED Nurse Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage a team of 45 direct reports (64 FTEs), and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered emergency care. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to maintain superior patient outcomes and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement evidence-based clinical practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
- Direct all staffing operations, including recruitment, scheduling, and workforce development
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and healthcare standards
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
- Drive performance improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for nursing staff
- Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration to optimize patient care delivery
- Ensure excellent patient satisfaction through proactive service recovery and complaint resolution
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department clinical experience
- 1-3 years of clinical leadership experience
- BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)
- Previous experience in Level I Trauma Center
- Leadership experience managing large nursing teams
