Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Unit

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse where you'll deliver exceptional patient care in our state-of-the-art medical facility. We're seeking a compassionate and skilled RN to provide comprehensive nursing care while utilizing advanced electronic medical records systems (EPIC) to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and document age-specific patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans
  • Lead interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare team members and patients' families
  • Implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing interventions
  • Administer treatments and medications with precise documentation in EPIC EMR system
  • Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification (as required by unit)
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
