Surgical Technologist II - Vascular Operating Room Specialist

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile field during vascular surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon's needs and assist with surgical instrumentation
• Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Assist in room turnover and sterilization procedures
• Participate in surgical counts and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Eligibility for registration with VA Department of Health Professions
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile technique

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous vascular surgery experience
• Military medical experience accepted and valued
• Knowledge of vascular surgical instrumentation
