Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT/X-Ray (Radiology)

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable X-ray examinations for patients of all ages
- Operate CT scanning equipment with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain accurate patient positioning and exposure techniques
- Mentor and work alongside Radiography students
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
- Manage and prepare files for upcoming examinations
- Engage in continuous professional development
Required Qualifications:
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider)
- Virginia Radiologic Technologist license or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience with digital imaging systems and PACS
- Proven expertise in diagnostic radiography and CT scanning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move 10-50 pounds
- Extended periods of standing and walking
- Visual acuity for detailed image analysis
- Manual dexterity for equipment operation
