Senior Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care Specialist

This autonomous position offers the unique opportunity to be the primary respiratory care specialist during your shift, working collaboratively with our emergency, surgical, and critical care teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary respiratory therapist during assigned shifts, managing patient care independently
- Perform and assist with intubations as a backup specialist (training provided)
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across multiple departments including ED, Surgery, and Critical Care
- Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain detailed patient care documentation and records
Required Qualifications:
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- NBRC certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid Virginia state license
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification or EKG & Pharmacology Course completion
- Minimum 3 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
