Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized surgical technology support during procedures, ensuring optimal patient care

- Execute precise instrument handling and passing techniques during procedures
- Perform accurate surgical counts for instruments, sponges, and needles
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure seamless procedure flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Registration with VA Department of Health Professions
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
- Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
