Hospital Pharmacy Manager & Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

A leading healthcare institution is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmaceutical operations at our community hospital. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership opportunities, overseeing medication management and pharmacy staff while ensuring optimal patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate pharmacy operations, workflows, and staff scheduling
• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards
• Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to optimize pharmaceutical services
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff across multiple facilities
• Implement and maintain clinical pharmacy programs
• Participate in direct patient care activities as needed

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Current Virginia Pharmacy License or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency in pharmacy information systems and technology
• Excellence in clinical decision-making and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or ASHP-accredited residency
• Previous pharmacy management experience
• Experience with multiple healthcare facilities
