Cardiac Monitoring Technician II - Emergency Department

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cardiac Monitoring Technician II in our state-of-the-art Emergency Department. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for providing continuous cardiac monitoring and ensuring patient safety through expert ECG interpretation and rapid response to cardiac events.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret real-time cardiac rhythms for emergency department patients
  • Provide immediate response to life-threatening arrhythmias and alert response teams within 1 minute
  • Analyze and document ECG strips, ST segments, QT intervals, SpO2 waveforms, and BP measurements
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and provide detailed shift documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Clinical Alarm Standards and alarm management protocols
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and safety
  • Assist with patient transport to procedural and inpatient areas
  • Participate in orientation and training of new team members

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AHA BLS-HCP certification (required within 60 days of hire)
  • Successful completion of Annual Cardiac Monitor Assessment
  • Strong computer skills and EMR proficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) certification
  • One year of cardiac monitoring experience
  • Prior emergency department experience
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring equipment and systems
