Emergency Medical Transport Specialist - Advanced EMT/Paramedic

We're seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Transport Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team at our state-of-the-art medical facility. In this vital role, you'll provide essential patient care services while working alongside licensed practitioners and registered nurses in accordance with Virginia Board of Nursing guidelines.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive direct patient care including vital signs monitoring, comfort care, and nutritional support
• Execute diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under proper medical supervision
• Perform safe patient transport throughout the hospital facility
• Maintain medical equipment and supply inventory
• Document patient care data and maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Current Virginia State certification as EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic
• Current AHA BLS-HCP and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Physical ability to assist with patient movement and transport

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic experience
• National Registry certification
• PALS, PHTLS, or BTLS certification
• Hazmat Awareness certification
• NRP certification
