Director of Nursing Program Administration

Role Overview:

This full-time position is centered on the comprehensive oversight of the nursing program, entailing the management, development, and evaluation of program activities. The role requires close collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Director and Chief Academic Officer to execute ongoing projects and special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and evaluation of all program components, ensuring alignment with educational standards and objectives.
  • Prepare essential documentation and reports to meet state and Nursing Board requirements, including proposals, self-studies, and surveys.
  • Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations, specifically the obligation to report faculty terminations within ten days.
  • Identify and secure external resources to enhance the nursing program.
  • Formulate and enforce program policies and procedures.
  • Organize and participate in committees pertinent to program operations.
  • Oversee the student admission process, orientation, and engagement with community partners.
  • Establish and maintain educational collaborations with clinical sites, conducting thorough evaluations to ensure safe and effective student experiences.
  • Collect and analyze evaluation data from students, faculty, and clinical site representatives, providing comprehensive reports to leadership and advisory bodies.
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical contracts and participate in faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation processes.
  • Facilitate regular faculty meetings, ensuring proper documentation and strategic discussion outcomes.
  • Assign faculty to courses and clinical sites, monitoring instructional quality and participating in program reviews and strategic planning.
  • Advise and support prospective students, ensuring they meet all prerequisites for clinical rotations and graduation.
  • Contribute to the planning and facilitation of Nursing Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Engage in professional development to remain informed of state regulations governing Vocational Nursing.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years' nursing experience, including at least one year in teaching or clinical supervision, or equivalent experience in nursing administration or education within the last five years.
  • Completion of coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-3 years in a leadership role.
  • 1-3 years as a Nursing Instructor, preferably in Vocational Nursing or RN programs.
  • Location preference: Sacramento.
