As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care while overseeing unit operations during your shift. Collaborating with our management team, you will direct, monitor, and assess nursing care in alignment with our established procedures. Serving as a knowledgeable resource for staff, you will exemplify our organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby boosting departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate smooth admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Continuously evaluate the quality of patient care services with the management team.
• Work alongside subject matter experts and managers to foster a cooperative environment that enhances outcomes and service delivery.
• Uphold a patient-first philosophy and manage service recovery when needed.
• Drive facility engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, such as employee and hourly rounding, and other initiatives.
• Advise on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and recommend actions for training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor to meet patient care needs within productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and help manage supplies and equipment effectively.

Qualifications:

• Active license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a multi-state compact license eligible for practice in Virginia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required upon hire.
• PALS and ACLS certification to be obtained within six months of hire.
• TNCC certification is preferred.
• Prior experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting is required.
• Flexibility to float between Freestanding and Main Campus ER.
• Experience as an ER Manager, Coordinator, or Charge Nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
